April is Perfect for Chilled Ibiza Holidays
The Ibiza tourism board urged UK holidaymakers to make the island a priority next month, as April is the ideal time for a visit.
Britons have an ongoing love affair with Spain holidays in general, and Ibiza has always been very popular among younger holidaymakers keen to experience the great club scene and laid-back atmosphere of this Balearic Islands destination.
Although cheap flights to Ibiza are available all the year round, and paying a visit to the island in the peak midsummer season can be its own reward for those seeking vitality and excitement, the Ibiza Tourist Board said that April was "perfect" for a more relaxing experience. It's the ideal month to discover the island's culture while avoiding the crowds and packed beach resorts of the peak season.
There are loads of events planned in Ibiza for April, it pointed out, such as the Ruta de la Sal regatta during the Easter period, in which more than 300 boats will be showing off to the public and competing in races. There are also the Easter celebrations themselves – particularly the processions in the towns of Ibiza Town, San Antonio and Santa Eulalia.
For cycling fans, next month is also the perfect time to come to Ibiza and explore its mountain bike trails before the heat becomes too intense.
Cheap flights to Ibiza are plentiful, but from the end of this month travellers in the South East will have even more choice. New seasonal routes are to be launched by flag carrier British Airways from Docklands' London City Airport.
