Barcelona and Valencia Host May Spectaculars
Cheap flights carrier Jet2.com revealed some of the upcoming festivals available in the vibrant Catalonian capital Barcelona for anyone considering Spain holidays with a twist this summer.
"Varying in style, they each tailor for a specific audience, but their amount and quality means there will almost always be something on for everyone – and this May is no exception to that," the budget airline declared.
From 11-17 May the city will host the Barcelona Poetry festival, a unique brand of poetry festival that will see the windows of Barcelona's buses and metro carriages covered in different poetic verses. This will help promote the different poetry readings and lectures taking place in various locations during the week.
Between 20-29 May, the Primavera Sound Festival will take place at different venues across Barcelona. The biggest music festival in the city, Primavera includes some massive names in music, such as Belle and Sebastian, Sufjan Stevens, Interpol and a reformed Echo and The Bunnymen. Jet2.com said that Britons wishing to experience this should definitely consider one of the airline' cheap flights to Barcelona.
Another option for family Spain holidays this month is the fantastic animated dinosaurs exhibition in the south-eastern coastal city of Valencia. The Spanish Tourist Office declared the show, which is based at Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences, to be the "greatest exhibition" of robotic dinosaurs in Europe.
The exhibition is set to run until 29 May only, however, so would-be visitors need to book those cheap flights to Valencia first. The city has many other attractions, such as its beach, its historic old town, and its fascinating sea park.
