Monarch Adds New Cheap Flights to Greece and Turkey
Cheap flights carrier Monarch Airlines will launch a "host" of new routes this month, operating out of
Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester airports.
The airline announced over the weekend that it would begin new cheap flights to Turkey and Greece from the hubs, giving UK travellers more choice than ever when it comes to these ever-popular sunshine holiday destinations.
Monarch began cheap flights to Bodrum on Turkey's Aegean coast from Manchester yesterday, with two flights a week on Mondays and Thursdays. A similar service will begin from Birmingham and London Gatwick on the 23rd of this month, with flights on the same days at Gatwick and on Mondays and Fridays from Birmingham.
Also on 23 May, passengers at London Luton Airport will be able to take cheap flights to Corfu with Monarch, operating thrice-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The cheap fares carrier said that these new routes brought the total number of scheduled routes that it operates from its UK bases to 20. This bolsters its already impressive array of cheap flights to Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands, Gibraltar, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey.
The airline's managing director Kevin George commented: "We've listened to the feedback we've received from our customers and we’re expanding as a result."
"Turkey and Greece are increasingly becoming the sunshine destinations of choice for discerning travellers and we're extremely happy to be able to extend our excellent value and award winning service to these destinations."
Mr George added that Monarch flights could offer the customer "extra legroom seating, a great range of tasty hot and cold food and selected inflight entertainment," which he stressed was, "over and above the levels provided by most low fare airlines and is perfectly suited for longer flight sectors such as Turkey and Greece."
